Dr Peter Elliot - Veterinarian
Dr Peter Elliott joined Vetcall in 1995. He shares his house with inspector Lex and Lucy, the Devon rex cats and Brynn the whippet. He has a special interest in feline medicine and improving the quality of life in older pets.
Dr Mark Kropp - Veterinarian
Dr Mark Kropp joined Vetcall in 1997 and has been a partner since 2002. He has a keen interest in surgery, particularly Orthopaedics and continues to maintain the practice's up to date techniques and equipment. Mark is also an Accredited Export Veterinarian and this allows our clinics to offer these services to clients who are taking their pets overseas.
Dr Mitch Hoch - Veterinarian
Dr Mitch Hoch graduated from James Cook University in Townsville in 2012. He was raised on a cattle station in Central Queensland so was fortunate enough to be surrounded by cattle, horses and dogs his entire life. He relocated to the Gold Coast where he is really enjoying working with small animals and the great team at Vetcall. He has a particular interest in dermatology and surgery.
Outside work Mitch like to keep busy by working on his family's cattle property, holidaying overseas and exploring Australia's beautiful countryside.
Dr Ophelia Li - Veterinarian
Dr Ophelia Li graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015. Ophelia has been volunteering for the Vetcall family since her last year of high school, and after finishing University in 2015, she began working as a Veterinarian for Vetcall.
Ophelia owns a lovely Staffy x named Lulu and a grumpy cat named Misty.
Ophelia's interests are soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and giving lots of cuddles to our furry patients.
dr ker-ming lua - Veterinarian
Dr Ker-Ming Lua graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015. Ker-Ming's special interests are surgery and radiology.
When Ker-Ming isn't busy at the clinic, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his two cheeky cats, Minka the Burmese and Rosie the Tortie.
JACKIE - RECEPTIONIST
Jackie has been a receptionist since 2008. With over 30 years in the veterinary industry. She is available as the first point of contact for enquires.
Charlotte - Receptionist
Charlotte is one of our Receptionists at Vetcall Ashmore. Originally from the UK, she now lives on the Gold Coast with her husband and their two international travelling cats Lilly and Poppy. You will find Charlotte at the front desk helping clients and giving our furry friends lots of cuddles and attention.
Jessica - Senior Veterinary Nurse/ Management Team Member
Jessica began her Veterinary Nursing career in New Zealand in 2007 and has attained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She joined Vetcall in 2014 and enjoys being part of a team that provides a friendly and efficient service to our clients and their four-legged and feathered friends. Jessica is devoted to making sure that all owners and their pets experience the very best care whilst at our clinic. Her four-legged family members consist of her affectionate cats, Lily and Felix, and her Weimaraner, Trigger.
Hannah - Senior Veterinary Nurse/ Management Team Member/ Puppy Pre-School Instructor
Hannah has been at Vetcall Ashmore since 2009 and coordinates our Puppy Pre-School classes, as well as performing senior nursing duties. She has always had a keen interest in companion animals and wildlife, especially the developmental and nutritional side of things.
At home, Hannah has a Devon Rex named Bambi who she adores so much! One day, she would love to live on a large property where she can own all the dogs, cats, cows and animals she has always dreamed of.
ANNABELLE - Senior VETERINARY NURSE/ Management Team Member
Annabelle has been at Vetcall Ashmore since 2013 and is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse. She is currently studying her Diploma in General Practice and has a keen interest in surgery and emergency critical care.
Outside of work Annabelle enjoys looking after her spoilt dogs Kahn (American Staffy) and Lady (Bull Arab x Dane) and taking them to the beach.
ROSA - VETERINARY NURSE
Rosa has had the pleasure of working with our vets, nurses and most importantly your pets since December 2011. Her role as Kennel hand enables constant contact with your pets while they are boarding with us or here for treatment. In addition having attained her Certificate II in Animal Studies, Rosa's duties extend to assisting the veterinary nurses. It is a real privilege for Rosa to be a part of Vetcall Ashmore as she can share her love for animals to your pets.
Brionie - Veterinary Nurse
After many years in corporate positions, Brionie has recently decided to follow her life-long dream to study and work as a veterinary nurse. She is currently completing a Certificate III in Animal Studies (Veterinary Nursing) and plans to move on to a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Brionie also holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Human Resource Management.
Brionie is mum to two little girls, two Kelpies, an Australian Stock Horse, three chickens and an elderly (and extremely spoiled) Burmese cat. In her spare time, Brionie enjoys riding her horse and working on her property with her husband and kids.
Kendall - Veterinary Nurse assistant/ Kennel hand
Kendall has been at Vetcall since November 2013 after graduating from high school. She has always had a passion for helping animals and is interested in starting a career in Veterinary Nursing. Her furry family consist of Pepe her spoilt cat'Pepe and Nooka her cuddly labrador.
Justin - Student Veterinary Nurse
Justin is currently undertaking work experience as part of his Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. He is very eager to start his career in helping animals as it is something he has always been interested in. Justin grew up in the bush of the Northern Territory and was always helping injured wildlife.
When Justin isn’t working with animals he plays Aussie Rules and enjoys camping.
Gabrielle – Student veterinary Nurse
Gabrielle has recently commenced her student placement at Vetcall Ashmore whilst she undertakes her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. After many years of working and owning her own business in the hospitality industry, she decided to follow her heart and pursue a career with animals. Her love and compassion for animals which led her to vet nursing, started from a young age when she grew up on a hobby farm in Brisbane.
Gabrielle has also had the pleasure of gaining experience in a zoo, cattery and dog boarding facility. She is a proud and adoring mum to her little daughter and ragdoll cat Archie.
Kaycee - PET GROOMER/ KENNEL HAND/ RECEPTIONIST
Kaycee has been working with Vetcall Ashmore since November 2016 and has completed a Certificate II in Animal Studies, a Certificate III in Companion Animals and a Certificate III in Pet Grooming. She is looking forward to beginning her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, expanding her current knowledge.
Kaycee has always had a passion for all things environmental and loves finding ways to live sustainably. She has a keen interest in nutrition and plants, and plans on one day owning a property where she can home dogs, cats, chickens and keep bees.
SAM - KENNEL HAND
Sam has been working at Vetcall Ashmore since she was 15 years old. She is an animal lover that has many pets of her own over her two acres of land. Her pets include dogs, birds and chickens.
Sam aims to have gained her veterinary nursing and grooming qualifications within the next two years. She enjoys spending her spare time outdoors, keeping active and being at home with her animals. .
Sasha - Kennel Hand
Sasha is currently a kennel hand at Vetcall Ashmore and is aspiring to become a veterinary nurse. She is the eldest of four children and has a passion for animals. In Sasha’s household, she has three fur babies, one beautiful Lhasa Apso named Lulu who has recently turned one and is just the most gorgeous energetic ball of happiness. She also has two beautiful cats, one is a Bombay named Luna that thinks she is a panther and one kind, gentle and affectionate Russian blue named Oscar who is just a fluffy love machine. Both cats are just over two years old. Sasha’s family are currently in the process of moving to a property and intend on expanding their fur family by at least a few horses, sheep, cows, chickens, ducks and hopefully one day llama.
Rachael - Kennel Hand
Rachael has been working with animals her whole life and has grown up around a variety of pets and wildlife. She is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has had over 6 years’ experience in the animal industry. Rachael has many pets of her own including three dogs and two cats. She is a Wildlife Carer, meaning she takes care of injured wildlife until they are ready for release. .
Erin - Kennel Hand
Erin has been working at Vetcall Ashmore since 2014, starting out while still in high school as an afternoon Kennel Hand. Although she wants to become a Pilot one day, Erin is loving working with animals, and enjoying the experiences and learning opportunities that being a part of our Vetcall team have brought her.
